Donate your wedding gown
When the time comes that you are considering what to do with your wedding gown that is taking up room in your wardrobe, think about donating it to Angel Gowns, a not for profit organisation and charity that custom design and hand make beautiful garments from wedding dresses for bereaved families that have experienced the loss of a stillborn child or the death of their baby.
Tulle is used to make the most beautiful little tutu’s and your silk or satin will be transformed in to a delicately designed little dress or vest and pant suit. Angel Gowns is a truly wonderful organisation of people who donate every Angel Gown made to funeral homes, hospitals and to families through special orders.
Currently there is an overstock of dresses in storage and their website states that donations won’t be accepted until further notice, but if you are anything like me and are not quite ready to let go of your wedding dress just yet anyway, know that you have the option to donate it to a worthy cause when you are.
The success of Angel Gowns is so great they are currently not able the accept more gowns until much of the current stock is processed. Put this website on your follow-up list.
